Skills required: Wide experience in cloud-native technologies including containerization and Serverless; Knowledge across one of the three (Unix/Lunix & Wintel). Configuration experience, change of management, monitoring and trending. Experience within large scale distribution (including the consumption of strategic monitoring and capacity management tools). Experience managing Linux/Unix platforms in these functions: application server administration (JBoss, Tomcat, WebLogic, etc.), DNS, Linux system configuration and administration.
Bonus points if you have acquired these skills and you would gather a better understanding of them if you were to join the brand. Experience with Unix shell scripting (Bash, C-Shell, perl etc). Understanding of TCP/IP, load balancing clusters, server load balancing, firewalls. Understanding of automation practices throughout the development, build, and deployment phases of the application life cycle. Use of scripting languages such as Python or dev skills in Java also hugely beneficial.
