We have partnered with a global leader in secure and decarbonized digital range of marketing-leading digital solutions and who are currently looking for a Business Development Director (m/f/d) with a specific focus on the Retail Sector.
As the successful Business Development Director (m/f/d) you will identify, shape, and qualify new deals typically from Euro 20 Million to Euro 50 Million within the retail space. The deals will be multi-service across our client's portfolio, including but not limited to Digital, Analytics, Consulting, and Cloud. The focus of this role is to consistently identify and develop a new business pipeline for this respective market.
Other responsibilities include:
- Understanding and ability to articulate key client business objectives and challenges to identify the solutions required to support objectives and solve C-level challenges to win the business
- Translate business requirements into solid proposals and translate complex IT problems and solutions back into the client's business language
- Assemble and lead teams within the organisation to help you win business by engaging people who can demonstrate depth and capability
- Create an account plan for each BD target account.
- Accountable for business development in the territory and meeting or exceeding set targets
- Rapidly build key customer relationships using the available network
- Cultivate connected networks (vendors, partners, and businesses to achieve your goals.
- Identifying, qualify and develop strategic deals with long sales cycles and complex stakeholder maps
Your Profile:
- Demonstrable experience and proof of generating multi-service deals in Germany above Euro 20M is critical.
- Experience in dealing with internal governance and compliance within a complex matrix organisation.
- Deep understanding of the retail market
- Proficient in preparing detailed proposals and written reports
- Proficient in preparing and delivering compelling presentations, developing innovative solutions, and presenting them to large audiences.
- Solid knowledge of IT solutions to benefit the business and an effective communicator at all levels, including the C-level
- Flexible to travel when permitted
